WHY MACBOOKS OVERHEAT:
In their overwhelming desire to make their products appear high-tech and sophisticated, apple has decided to disable the fan until the CPU temperature reaches 67 degrees celsius.
That's not right. I thought the fan couldn't keep the temperature down, but it CAN for normal operation. It can keep it in the 50s and the 40s, no doubt. I was curious why my temps always stayed at 67 degrees.
At maximum speed, the fans can barely be heard. So WHY? Why are they made to run so slow or not at all?
I hope there is a hack released to change the fan speeds manually. I would run them on max ALL the time. I mean compared to my behemoth of a computer, it sound like a kitten.
Even better, if I decide to open it and replace the thermal paste, I will remove the temperature sensor wire. I have heard this makes the fan run on max permanently.Video that explains it all.
